Gertrude SchweiglIt is Gertrude’s love of the outdoors, her fascination with experienced, observed or possible future events shaping our world, her readiness to move on to new adventure in search to understand and to appreciate, she is seeking to express in her unconstrained style. Frequently, she is choosing the medium to fit the task and she is using colour to further remove any doubts about her emotions on the subject .
Trained in fine visual art and art history in Austria, a long hiatus from painting followed her coming to Canada with her young family. A resident of Brampton since 1971, she is a member of BAB since 2003, where some of her art is always on exhibit in the Upper Hall gallery.
