Nina Delisi-CromwellBeing a potter is a gift and a joy for me. The magic of capturing softness and flow in a piece that is fired to function with rigidity and strength inspires and delights me.
I continue to develop my style of working with clay always maintaining the elements of play and experimentation. I am attracted to earthy, textured forms. My clay work is primarily hand-built slab work but also I enjoy creating wheel thrown and altered pieces.
My pottery is functional artwork . Each piece is unique. The household pieces are decorated with food-safe glazes and are oven and microwave safe. In fact they can be moved from the oven to the tabletop. They are meant to be decorative and useful stoneware.
