Helen Duplassie

Helen is a graduate of York University. After retiring from full time teaching in 2001, she returned to her love of drawing. She started taking drawing courses and then experimented with painting.
Loving the soft and delicate intermingling of watercolours, she enjoys painting flowers, landscapes, people and places. Since she started working in oils with the guidance of Kelly McNeil, she is finding it is fast becoming her favourite medium. She also paints in acrylics and has tried Winterstone sculpture and mosaics.

Helen became a member of Beaux-Arts in 2006. There she edits the monthly newsletter, and helps organize exhibits at the gallery and at other sites. She often has works on display at the Coffee Culture Café as well.
Born and raised in Southern Ontario, she has lived in Brampton since 1981, where she resides with her husband.
She can be reached at 905 453 4217 or you can email her at helendu@rogers.com
