My life as an artist as had many stages.

After graduating from “Art Illustration” and from a teacher training course at Sheridan College, Brampton, I taught watercolour painting there. I have also taught for Brampton Parks and Recreation, and for the Peel Heritage Complex, Brampton. For many years I freelanced as a designer and portrait artist, as well as creating both representational and abstract 2D & 3D art works. I have experimented with texture, and colour, and have used found objects in my work.

I have always loved to experiment with new mediaArtist Paulette Murphy. In 2001 I took “Basketry for the Garden” at Fleming College, Halibuton. At present I am adding batiked fabric into my woven wild grape vine baskets and paintings.

My work hangs in numerous public and corporate collections and I have won awards both locally and nationally. I am a passionate supporter of the arts in Brampton, and as founding member, and first president of Beaux- Arts Brampton was awarded “Brampton’s Arts Person of the Year” in 2003.
