About the Artist
Working in acrylics, oil, pastel and various drawing media, I interpret
the mystery of the landscape, translating form, light and emotion
into two dimensions. My "landscapes" can refer not only
to the natural environment, but also the industrial or man-made,
the human body, the portrait, and even the dreamed, remembered or
emotionally experienced impression of a landscape. They can be vast
as a desert or as intimate as a portion of a single tree trunk.
Studies at various schools of fine art and illustration in Montreal
and Toronto have developed the technical skills essential for the
successful creation of art. Supplementing these courses, countless
hours in life drawing studios have developed my interpretation of
the human "landscape".
