Membership
Our yearly membership runs from January 1 to December 31 of each year. Each
new member is interviewed by our membership committee, from whom they receive
more details about members privileges. Please call the Gallery to
set your appointment 905-454-5677.
All members receive a quarterly newsletter and invitations to all of the Beaux-Arts Brampton shows. They will also be invited to general meetings from time to time to keep them informed of special events throughout the year.
Our membership contains 2 categories:
- Volunteer Artist (minimum
40 hours)
- Non-volunteer Artist
Our Definitions
A Professional Artist:
- Someone who is actively making original artwork outside of a classroom setting and/or
- Someone who has a history of acceptance into galleries or juried shows and/or
- Someone who has formal art education.
An Emerging Artist:
- Someone who is interested in taking art lessons or using the workshop space to advance their skills and/or
- An art student who is producing work under the guidance of an instructor and/or
- Someone who is not yet publicly exhibiting or selling their art but would like to be.
Volunteering
As a non-profit organization, we are dependant on the volunteers that run Beaux-Arts Brampton. All of the work is done by volunteers working together for the advancement of the visual arts in Brampton. We encourage all of our members to be part of our essential group of volunteers and reap the rewards that come from interaction with our artists and patrons.
